Brian and Jack Hauprich have spent countless hours developing & tweaking The FryerFighter™, and continue to work on new products to keep people safer.
Our Mission
Our primary goal is to make kitchens safer and prevent injury. Additionally, we strive to help fire departments throughout the nation raise money to supplement their budgets.
This two-fold mission is the foundation upon which our business was built. We are Helping Americans Help Firefighters©.
We are native New Yorkers who some years back, decided to settle on an island off the coast of Maine. Aside from the overwhelming presence of Red Sox fans, we like it here just fine. Brian & Mary both serve as officers in our local fire department, and are happy to welcome their son Jack as the newest member of the local Junior Firefighters Program. Brian serves as an EMT on the ambulance service as well, while Mary prepares to train for their community’s newly formed water rescue team. An Emergency Family for sure!
Brian's education is in the culinary sciences, serving many years as a corporate and personal chef. This, combined with his training in public safety, provides him with a unique perspective on kitchen fires and preventable injuries. FryerFighter™ was born from the nagging notion that kitchen fires – often the deadliest kind firefighters may encounter - can be stopped before an accident turns into tragedy.
Together with Jack, Brian spent years testing and developing and tweaking and redesigning FryerFighter™. Many a wintry day saw the Haupriches in their yard setting frying pans ablaze. These days, they are working on other products to help make homes – and firefighters – safer.
Being "on the inside", we know how departments struggle with financial constraints. We also know firsthand how training has made the difference in a situation, or how modern equipment can help us all get home safe. Sometimes, the money just isn't there for essential tools or training. We want to help. We adhere to the philosophy that people can make a living doing good stuff. A portion of FryerFighter™ proceeds go directly to fire departments seeking help with purchases or classes. We also offer fundraising kits for fire departments interested in selling FryerFighters™ as a fundraising campaign in their communities.
